Nurse Aide Training Course Evaluation Program (NATCEP)
The Nurse Aide Training Course Evaluation Program (NATCEP) is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in essential nursing assistant skills and principles of restorative care. This course prepares students to successfully pass the certification exam administered by Credentia upon completion of the course.
This course is held Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. from October 2 through October 29.
The program consists of 129 hours of training over 4 weeks, broken down as follows:
- Theory: 36.5 hours
- Lab: 29.5 hours
- Clinical: 63 hours
Students will begin with classroom instruction to build foundational knowledge, followed by hands-on practice in the skills lab. They will then apply and refine their skills in a supervised clinical setting, working directly with residents in a long-term care facility under the guidance of a certified Nurse Aide Instructor.
This program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and is structured to fully prepare students for the certification exam.
Beyond technical skills, students will be encouraged to develop and embody qualities such as compassion, empathy, integrity, and a strong commitment to advocacy for those in their care—essential traits for delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
This event is for pre-registration. Once your pre-registration is submitted, you will receive follow-up instructions via email with next steps, including how to complete full registration, submit documentation, and prepare for the start of the course.
