Drug Trends - Signs and Symptoms (CSAF-134-06)

Statistics show that over 11% of the United States population aged 12 and older are current illicit drug users. In this Drug Trends class, we will look at how changing views in society has caused an explosion of various drugs on the streets of our communities. We will explore these different categories of drugs that are commonly found in our society as well as how they impact our safety, our families and our economy. Students in this class will also learn how these drugs effect the body and signs and symptoms that occur in the body of people under the influence.
This class is very informative and uses several videos and photos, as well as real drugs and drug paraphernalia so students can easily understand how drugs are packaged, sold, and ingested.
