This program is a four-week training program comprehensively designed to teach the necessary skills for safe operation of a commercial vehicle. It is broken down into two sections - 40 hours of classroom training and 120 hours of road, range, and skills training. After completing the program, the necessary assistance will be provided to take the license examination. This program will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to obtain employment with local, regional, and national companies.
CDL Class A Program (160 Hours)

- Course Fee: $5,500
- Other Fees Student is Responsible For Paying: $250 (Class A permit - $85; Department of Transportation physical - $80; Department of Transportation drug screen - $85)
- Schedule: Training offered on a rolling basis. Classes held Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Application requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, and pass a Department of Transportation drug screen and physical.
Course Notes/Description
This course will provide 40 hours of training to learn the skills needed to pass the Class A permit test.120 hours will be road and range training that will include pre-trip inspection, airbrake leak down test, straight link backing and alley docking maneuvers.
Training is provided in cooperation with third party, PA Pride, LLC.
Upon completion of this 160 hour course, a student will acquire the skills necessary to take the Commonwealth of PA Department of Transportation's CDL exam.
